The first engagement · Operating commitments · First 90 days
Every engagement begins the same way: we listen before we recommend.
The first engagement is a working engagement. Quick wins, prioritised opportunities and a clear read of the situation, delivered before you decide whether to go further.
The first engagement
Three scales. One starting point.
The cost of the first engagement credits in full toward implementation if you proceed within 90 days. A proportional credit applies between 91 and 180 days. We start here so we are working on the right problem.
Focused
Focused working session
1–3 weeks
You have a specific question about a defined opportunity. We do focused analysis, deliver a directional read within two to three weeks, and implement one or two quick wins along the way.
Comprehensive
Strategic working session
4–8 weeks
You know action is needed and you are weighing where to start. We work systematically across the organisation, identify which strategic conditions apply, size opportunities across conservative and aggressive scenarios, and deliver a tailored roadmap with two or three quick wins to build momentum.
Strategic
Strategic blueprint
8–12 weeks
The change required is fundamental and you want a rigorous pathway. Deep strategic analysis, competitive and ecosystem mapping, capability assessment, internal alignment. A full roadmap with risk mitigation, and three to four quick wins.
Operating commitments
Operating commitments that shape every engagement we take on.
Listen
We listen before we recommend.
Context determines approach. Working sessions shape the recommendation: which condition applies, which engagement fits, what the right scope looks like.
Align
In Venture Co-Creation, our return depends on your commercial success.
We take equity stakes or alternative value-sharing arrangements. Our recommendations reflect genuine conviction about what maximises venture value.
Graduate
We certify your team's capability before we disengage.
Independence is what we design toward. Graduation criteria are defined before the engagement starts. You know exactly what capability looks like and when we exit.
Show our working
Every number we put in front of you carries its calculation.
Estimates show how they were arrived at. Projections reference comparable implementations. Where the underlying data carries uncertainty, we name the bounds and the assumptions. Confidence comes from method, not from rounded numbers.
Review
Three review stages on every deliverable. Board-ready, regardless of scope.
Every piece of work passes self-review, peer review, and senior review before it reaches you. Frameworks are applied in full. Each deliverable is built from the situation in front of us; templates inform the structure, the analysis is your own.
Localise
African market realities are the starting point of every engagement.
Regulatory environments, distribution economics, infrastructure constraints, mobile money dynamics and the trust dynamics that govern African business: these are the operating environment our work is designed for, treated as primary rather than as adjustments to a global default.
First 90 days
A clear picture of pace, collaboration, and what you will experience.
Weeks 1–2
Context determination
Joint working sessions with your senior team. A structured review of where value sits across the organisation. A read on which strategic conditions apply. The first quick win identified and scoped.
Weeks 3–8
Analysis and recommendation
Opportunity sizing across scenarios. Competitive and ecosystem mapping where relevant. Roadmap drafting. The first quick win delivered, with the impact documented.
Weeks 9–12
Decision and transition
Board-grade deliverable. Implementation pathway agreed. The cost of the first engagement credited toward implementation where you proceed. The shape of what comes next, agreed in writing.
Ready to start a working session?
A first session covers the situation as you see it, the constraints in view, and how we would scope the work if there is a fit. The session itself delivers value before you decide whether to go further.
